Unexpected gym noise ruined our night

The location was great, and check-in was smooth. The staff offered a warm welcome, which was refreshing after our long drive. Our room was clean and spacious, with a lovely view of the city.

I enjoyed the rooftop bar and tried a selection of cocktails. The view was quite nice, which made for a memorable evening. As someone who appreciates good vibes and sunsets, this was the highlight of my stay. The staff was helpful and made me feel welcomed during my time here. I appreciate those moments because they remind me of weekends spent exploring food and culture back home in Italy.

The modern rooms had a clean aesthetic and a comfortable layout. The gym exceeded my expectations with its variety of equipment and space.

The city view was nice but slightly obstructed from my room.

It was just a great fit for a weekend in San Diego with reasonable price. The restaurant food was decent, but super slow service made mornings frustrating. Be ready for some unexpected charges at checkout.

i had a pleasant stay at carte hotel san diego downtown, curio collection by hilton. the hotel is conveniently located near little italy and the harbor. the staff was really accommodating, especially the friendly bartender in the lobby bar. i also enjoyed the rooftop pool, which was a refreshing dip after a long day.

Super chill spot for family and pup

The staff was super friendly and our dog felt right at home. Loved the pool area, definitely a nice chill spot. The bar had great service and we found some awesome places to eat nearby. Just wish the parking fees were a bit clearer upfront.

The amenities provided great value, especially for events like Comic-Con, with a close distance to the free shuttle stop. The King Room with City View was spacious and comfortable, complemented by helpful staff who maintained a clean environment. A disappointing aspect was the unprofessional response from gym staff regarding children’s access, alongside some minor maintenance issues like the TV remote's functionality.

Why I’m torn on this

The hotel's modern decor and friendly staff made my stay enjoyable. The breakfast was a great way to fuel up before exploring, with enough variety to keep things interesting.

During my stay at Carte Hotel San Diego Downtown, Curio Collection By Hilton, I was impressed by the elegant decor and accessibility features throughout the hotel. The spacious areas made it easy for seniors to navigate comfortably.

More comfortable seating in the lobby area would help.

Great Stay with Room for Improvement

Loved the rooftop bar with stunning views and delicious snacks. However, my room above the gym was quite noisy late at night and early morning. Future guests should request a room away from the gym if they're looking for peace and quiet.

Couple getaway, worth every penny

The rooftop bar had an amazing view and the drinks were crafted perfectly. The staff really went above and beyond, especially the bartender who even gave us a free glass, which was a nice touch.

It wasn’t exactly cheap but still acceptable for the experience.

Comfortable room, friendly atmosphere, with a convenient location just a short walk from the Santa Fe Depot. The rooftop pool offered a relaxing escape during our stay.
